Why is Solomon King and not Adonijah?

Greetings in Jesus
my brother,Why do you think God in 1 Kings 1 or so allowed Solomon to be King instead of Adonijah. It seems like Adonijah would have been a child in a marriage the Lord condoned. Etc….Perhaps Adonijah didn’t seek God and Solomon did….Still though from a “works” based selection and from sin being on children’s children it seems off???Blessings

My Brother,
The answer is in 1 Kings 1:17; 1:30 &
1 Chron. 22:6-10 ( but the word of the Lord came to me, saying… )The Lord did not allow. The Lord chose Solomon as he chose David from among the sons of Jessie. This plan was known to all of the house of David, it was not a secret. Adonijah tried to take by craftiness the kingdom which shows his true heart.
Thank God, He is God, and in control and will guide us that fear Him, even when we are not able to see the path before us.
