THE DAY OF THE LORD- BE READY !!!!!!!

Day of THE LORD!!!

Read 1 Thessalonians 5:2,3

Now take the above in the context of what the day of the Lord meant in the Old Testament to Jerusalem. Like the flood of the world, it is an event the Lord Said He would never do that way again. Ezekiel 5:9

See Ezekiel 7-12 Read them carefully.

Is if fair?- read Ezekiel 23. For that matter- read all the prophets… So yes it is fair.

Judgement also involved the Amorites, Moabites, Edomites, Philistia, Egyptians, Tyre and more.

But what about today? Now read 1 Thessalonians 5:2,3 again

At the end of time, it will occur again but as the final DAY OF THE LORD!!!

We know He carried out appropriate Judgement. But what does God really want? Repentance not death. See Ezekiel 18:22

Is there HOPE? See Ezekiel 22:30, 31 No one to stand in the Gap. Yet Jesus, Did for us. John 3:16 and Acts 2:38

A side Note:
Incredible how Old Testament Points/Warns us as New Testament Believers.

  1. Judgement as noted above- day of the Lord and another day of the Lord coming Ezekiel vs Revelations
  2. Marking those who lament (Commentary in my Ryrie Study Bible – says this was a taw, the last letter in Hebrew written like a cross. Did you catch that in Ezekiel 9:4 verse Revelations 7:3
  3. Isaiah 53 His Crucifixion vs Matthew 27 and Luke 23
  4. How the Lord left between cherubim in ark of covenant (Ezekiel 9:3) then to threshold of the Temple (10:4) then to the East gate 10:18-19 then Mount of Olives 11:23 How Jesus left the East Gate to the Mount of Olives – Died for us. Matthew 21:12-17
